Regarding the parameters measured in cartilage (Table 2 ; Figures 3 and 4 ), there were not statistical differences among groups; although the Kruskal Wallis comparison for the cartilage pathology was almost significant (p = 0.059) and the groups treated with diacerein (DC) and with the combination of risedronate and glucosamine (RS + GS) presented scores closer to the negative control (CTRL) than the others (Figure 3 ).
