We observed similar patterns with the measure of sleep apnea symptoms; there was a possible association in the age- and sex-adjusted model that did not reach statistical significance (OR 1.59, 95% CI 0.91–2.78), and the OR was somewhat attenuated by adjusting for BMI, and further lowered after adjusting for gastroesophageal reflux symptoms ( Table 3 ).
