The association between rs10911021 and mortality was less apparent in individuals with CKD (GFR <60 mL/min/1.73 m 2 , n = 213) than in those with preserved kidney function (GFR ≥60 mL/min/1.73 m 2 , n = 992), although this difference did not reach statistical significance (HR 1.34 [95% CI 1.09–1.64] vs. 1.04 [95% CI 0.79–1.40], P for rs10911021 by CKD interaction = 0.17).
