Abnormalities in measures of anxiety and appetitive behavior were nominally significant, but confounded by hyperactivity in the mutant mice–particularly after sustained handling, which may suggest either an anxiety-related aspect or perhaps feedback from disturbed sensory input from the vestibular system.
