Remarkably, data quantification across independent experiments also revealed that activated CD4 + T cells treated with CXCL10 in the presence of sodium lactate had significantly reduced levels of Hk1 as compared to cells treated with CXCL10 alone (both at 2 and 4 h) or left untreated (only at 4 h; although a reduction appears also at 2 h in the western blot shown in Fig 3A left as compared to the untreated control, this down-regulation did not reach statistical significance across independent experiments [ Fig 3A right]).
