Higher values for total #GC and # crypts with ≥1GC were associated with a significantly lower risk of adenocarcinoma ( Fig 2A and 2C ), whereas those for mean GC/crypt and proportion of crypts with ≥1GC also showed an inverse association, but did not reach statistical significance after adjustment for multiple comparisons ( Fig 2B and 2D ), in the per biopsy analysis.
