The interaction between harassment and post-copulatory courtship was marginally non-significant ( F 1,192 = 3.86, p = 0.051), and there was no effect of post-copulatory courtship on sex ratio in the control conditions (NPC versus PC: pairwise F 1,90 = 0.17, p = 0.68). Females observed to re-mate with the first male that courted them (under harassment) laid a less female-biased sex ratio than females that resisted (although this was only marginally significant: F 1,84 = 4.02, p = 0.048; figure 2 ).
