However, based on previous transcription profiling work, we noticed a clear trend that indicates that some of these genes are involved in oxidative stress because, as in the case of the (thio)xanthone derivatives, they were either repressed – NCU04907, NCU09428, NCU04910 and NCU02098 – or induced – NCU09830 – by different oxidative stress inducers, namely staurosporine, phytosphingosine and menadione [24] , [25] , [26] , [27] .
