For evaluating the Sequenom MassARRAY assay data of the 29 SNPs of RANK, RANKL and OPG, p values < 0.05 were defined as nominally significant, bonferroni correction for multiple testing was applied for the total number of SNPs in this study when assessing relationship between Minor Allele Frequency and individual SNPs (the corrected level of significance was p = 0.05/29 = 0.0017).
