A similar dichotomized RFS trend was observed according to PIK3CA mutation status in patients with squamous cell carcinomas; however, the difference did not reach statistical significance (3-RFS: 91.3% for mutant PIK3CA vs. 83.5% for wild-type PIK3CA , P = 0.07), which could be due to the short follow-up duration and the limited number of patients experiencing disease relapse ( Fig. 1B ).
