Tumors displaying high CD15/FUT4 expression showed a trend towards: a) lower peritumoral immune-cells density and elevated NLR at diagnosis; b) poorer patients’ outcome both in terms of response to first line therapy and progression free survival (Fig. 1b-d and Additional file 3 : Figure S2C, D).
