A 2x2 analysis using the χ 2 test revealed that pairs in which the tumor samples presented hypermethylated CKB and the matched non-neoplastic samples presented hypomethylation of this gene were more frequent than pairs of tumors with hypermethylation and matched non-neoplastic samples with partial methylation (p = 0.0381), but this finding did not reach statistical significance if the Bonferroni adjustment was applied (adjusted α = 0.05/3 = 0.0167).
