The amount of Al ( Fig 5B ) and V ( Fig 5L ) were significantly increased in smokers (p = 0.028 and p = 0.032, respectively) and there was a clear trend for Ni, Cr and Pb ( Fig 5J, 5I and 5N , respectively) that didn’t reach significance.
