Here, we demonstrated for the first time that the differentiation potential of MSCs was preserved even after exposure to high doses of cisplatin, and we did not find a general dose-dependent reduction of the differentiation capabilities: While the adipogenic differentiation was found to be reduced at least after treatment with high doses of cisplatin, MSCs showed a trend towards increased osteogenic differentiation after cisplatin treatment.
