Moreover, HbA1c levels of 6%–7%, 7%–9%, and >9% were associated with increased risks of all-cause mortality, with HRs of 1.46 (95% CI, 0.96 to 2.21, P = 0.07), 1.35 (95% CI, 0.91 to 2.02, P = 0.13), and 1.52 (95% CI, 0.97 to 2.38, P = 0.07) ( P for trend = 0.27), respectively, although this association did not reach statistical significance.
