In fact, only three studies directly compared albendazole alone with placebo or no drugs, and the pooled estimates showed borderline significant improvement in lesion resolution and no difference in seizure outcome.
They misused the data of the placebo arm for the prednisolone arm and that of prednisolone for the placebo, thus yielding pooled effects that fell just short of statistical significance.
