Similarly, we saw a trend that patients with esophageal cancer might be less likely to have evidence of HTLV-1 infection than patients with other types of cancer (OR: 0.56, 95% CI: 0.29, 1.11), but this difference also failed to reach statistical significance ( P = 0.10).
