Women tended to show a greater reduction in total drusen diameter in the inner subfield with the CFH polymorphism (TT) genotype than with the heterozygous or homozygous risk alleles (CT\CC) (p = 0.03), Concerning drusen area remodeling, we found that drusen area in the inner subfield was also reduced in older patients (r = -0.17) and in women (p = 0.01), but these associations did not reach statistical significance.
