In 10 Asian and 10 non-Asian patients who received immunoglobulin therapy, the mortality rate was higher in the Asian patients, of whom 3 died of liver failure and 1 of sepsis and arrhythmia, although the difference did not reach statistical significance (Table 2 and Supplemental Table 3).
