Determinants of SBI In adjusted analysis, SBI occurrence was associated with AIDS stage (HR = 1.69, 95% CI: [1.33–2.14]) as well as with CDC B stage (HR = 1.45 [1.18–1.79]), HCV coinfection (HR = 1.37 [1.15–1.63]), history of cancer (HR = 1.37 [1.01–1.86]); the association with diabetes was just over the limits of statistical significance (HR = 1.55 [0.94–2.56]) ( Table 2 ).
