The effects of the CYP on the activities of MPO were reversed by treatment with phloroglucinol (15 or 30 mg/kg) ( P < 0.01, P < 0.05); phloroglucinol improved the CAT activity at the high dosage of 30 mg/kg ( P < 0.01), and there was a tendency for the low dosage of phloroglucinol (15 mg/kg) to increase CAT activity, but the trend did not reach statistical significance ( P > 0.05, Table 2 ).
