Another noteworthy finding was that both the NAE and the non-native (NK) speakers showed a trend toward a greater enhancement of coda voicing contrast in the phonologically focused (PH-FOC) than in the lexically focused (LEX-FOC) condition consistent with findings of previous studies (e.g., de Jong and Zawaydeh, 2002 ; de Jong, 2004 ).
