The results of the three experiments were quite significant in the V. parahaemolyticus culture treated with only MgSO 4 ·7H 2 O with a P value of 0.04, with both MgSO 4 ·7H 2 O and chitin present with a P-value of 0.000441 and with MgSO 4 ·7H 2 O and carapace present with a P-value of 0.0152 (Additional file 1 : Table S2–S4).
