Over a period of decades, examinations of studies with statistically nonsignificant results have found the studies to have been underpowered.[ 83 , 84 , 85 ] Paralleling Freiman's et al .[ 85 ] earlier study, Moher et al .[ 84 ] reviewed 383 randomized trials published in three major journals, finding 102 which had failed to reach statistical significance.
