Indeed, impedance spectroscopy of the related (La,Sr) (Co,Fe)O system has shown that there is a clear trend of the electrode/electrolyte interface resistance and capacitance increasing when going from negative to positive bias voltage. 28 The results presented here suggest that part of this trend can be explained by the near-surface stoichiometry changes and show that the method presented here can be used to give very detailed microscopic information on the origin of certain properties found in SOFCs.
