Additionally, we observed that each participant’s gender and age had nearly significant correlations with corrupt intention, which was consistent with previous research indicating that demographic variables, such as age and gender, are related to moral reasoning ( Haidt et al., 1993 ) and corrupt intention ( Kennedy and Kray, 2014 ; Tan et al., 2016b ).
