As shown in Fig 1A , the number of fertilized eggs produced by worms exposed to all concentrations of either BPA, BPS or a combination of BPA and BPS did not significantly differ from control but showed a trend towards elevated embryo number at intermediate concentrations as previously shown for BPA, estradiol and several xenoestrogens [ 29 ].
