[ 17 ] treated 20 asthmatic children due to mites (aged 5–14 years) with SCIT; they reported AIT effectively reduced medication need and symptoms in children with allergic asthma; but, although the improvement in peak flow rate failed to reach statistical significance, a trend towards better performance was observed in the AIT group.
