While this observation did not reach statistical significance, it does not contradict our hypothesis and therefore suggest that the proportion of underpowered Cochrane meta-analyses with false positives may be higher than what we observed in this study because early false positive meta-analyses have a much lower chance of eventually reaching the RIS.
