While tumor treatment interacted with time for wound neutrophils (F 1,6 = 7.4, p<0.05), their Day 5 reduction with tumors did not reach statistical significance (p = 0.08).Total macrophage (Ly6C high + Ly6C low ) numbers rose in wounds from Day 1 to Day 5 post-wounding in controls as predicted, but tumors reversed this coordinated macrophage infiltration pattern (F 1,6 = 24.4, p<0.01; data shown separately for Ly6C high and Ly6C low ; Fig 2C & 2D ).
