Firstly, while the measured perfusion clearly varied with depth of burn, this difference was apparent even when both areas were relatively deep, or relatively superficial i.e. the perfusion difference compared to intact skin seems to be a relatively linear continuous variable rather than an ordinal or exponential variable.
