PICP and the ratio of PICP/ICTP showed a trend towards higher in hypertension patients with uncontrolled BP than well-controlled (76.6 ± 13 ug/L vs. 66.82 ± 15.3 ug/L, p = 0.59 and 73.22 ± 13.6 vs. 66.82 ± 15.3, p = 0.96, respectively), and it was proved that there were correlations between increased ECV and elevated serum fibrosis biomarkers level (PICP: β = 0.37, p = 0.02, PICP/ICTP: β = 0.30, p = 0.03) (Table 2 ).
