As shown in Figure 1F , early blind participants ( M = 18.00, SD = 4.96) correctly discriminated more sounds than late blind ( M = 15.07, SD = 3.67) and sighted participants ( M = 14.60, SD = 4.25; p s > 0.02), although the differences did not reach statistical significance.
