Exome-wide burden of recessive genotypes In autosomes, there was no significant excess of recessive genotypes in probands after correcting for multiple testing (homozygous, compound heterozygous and all recessive genotypes, two variant types and two MAF thresholds), although there was a nominally significant excess in probands of rare (MAF ⩽1%) nonsynonymous compound heterozygosity ( Table 1 ).
