Using linear regression, controlling for population stratification as described above, we found marginally significant associations between the OXTR SNP and the motor impulsiveness subscale of the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale ( β = 0.16, P = 0.037), the Behavioral Inhibition System Scale ( β = 0.164, P = 0.013), two facets of the neuroticism domain of the Five Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI) (impulsiveness: β = 0.143, P = 0.029; self-consciousness: β = 0.128, P = 0.046), as well as total neuroticism score ( β = 0.159, P = 0.014).
