Even though the difference to the secure group failed to reach significance (perhaps partially due to the small size of the sub-sample) this finding points in the right direction as it is theoretically well founded.

Table 1 shows that in the insecure-dismissing group parietal asymmetry scores were significantly higher than in the other two groups during each resting state and each emotional memory retrieval condition (LSD- post hoc comparison, p < 0.05), except for the difference between the insecure-dismissing and secure group in the anger condition, which did not reach statistical significance.
