In the study by Goetzl et al., uterine rupture was more often preceded by an episode of hyperstimulation (defined as >5 contractions per 10 min, that resulted in reduced administration of oxytocin) compared with controls: 37.5 and 20.8 %, p = 0.05, which is on the margin of significance [ 23 ].
