All four exposures taken singly had near-significant prevalence ratios ( table 2 ), though reduction of all four exposures by 25% was associated with a 13% (95% CI 2% to 22%) lower prevalence of diabetes, compared with a 40% reduction in diabetes prevalence in association with an identical (25%) reduction in BMI.
