Postoperative endoleak could occur in 8% of the cases, and mid-term stent-graft patency rate might remain in 93%, although covered stent presented a nearly significant decrease in postoperative endoleak, a significant decrease in reintervention and overall late complication, as compared to bare metal stents.[ 5 ] CONCLUSION Treatment of ECAAs is indicated mainly to prevent thromboembolic events caused by intra-aneurysmal thrombi.
