Injection of anakinra using either protocol showed a trend towards deceased numbers of osteoclast/osteoblasts per mm of trabecular bone and decreased percentage of trabecular bone in the tibiae covered by these cells compared with placebo, however, these differences were not statistically significant (Figure 4c-4f ).
