On the other hand, SREBP1c mRNA levels were slightly increased in LZB20KO liver, but did not reach statistical significance ( Fig. 3e ), and its protein levels were apparently normal either in the whole lysate or in the nuclear extracts as the mature form under the fed condition ( Fig. 3f ), which was consistent with normal expression of its target gene Gck ( Supplementary Table 2 ), the major hexokinase in the liver regulated by insulin but not glucose 37 .
