Adjusted average reduction in SBP and DBP was 3.3 mmHg and 1.0 mmHg for 10 mg, and 3.8 mmHg and 1.6 mmHg for 25 mg of empagliflozin, respectively, but the systolic and diastolic reduction did not reach statistical significance for both groups as compared to placebo [ Table 3 ].
