The rates of good outcome at 90 days after treatment were similar between the groups; however, the device’s efficacy for treating distal occlusions was considered to be somewhat inferior since the rate of patients with good activity before onset in the proximal group was less than that in the distal group, although the difference did not reach statistical significance (81% in the proximal group vs 100% in the distal group, P = 0.051).
