Patients with elevated NT-pro-BNP levels were more likely to be admitted to the ICU (63% vs 43%; P =0.0207), which was evident in the univariate regression model (OR =2.22; 95% CI: 1.1799–4.2373; P =0.0141), however, in the multivariable model, it did not reach statistical significance (OR =1.9608; 95% CI: 1.0007–3.8903; P =0.0512).
