In this study, the effect of physical activity on fertility was independent of the changes in BMI, suggesting an involvement of other mechanisms.[ 17 ] In the study conducted by Chavarro et al .,[ 18 ] 30 min of vigorous exercise per day was associated with a reduced risk of infertility, even though the association did not reach statistical significance as in this study.
