Some retrospective studies in the literature have demonstrated a higher rate of post-operative adverse events (AEs) with bevacizumab as compared to the control group, although the findings failed to reach statistical significance in all these studies possibly because of small sample sizes [ 7 ; 15 ; 16 ].
