Despite the current lack of knowledge on the mechanisms through which AraEXLB8 might operate to contribute to RKN resistance, our results showed a clear trend between AraEXLB8 expression and plant resistance since the species displaying the lowest expression was the least resistant ( A. hypogaea ‘Runner’) and the species with the highest expression was the most resistant ( A. stenosperma ).
