During a written test in pediatric dentistry, a near-significant negative correlation between stress levels and test scores was observed.[ 34 ] In three recent studies by Reteguiz, Anderson and Stickley and Chapell et al . on medical trainees, anxiety scores were not significantly correlated with performance scores.[ 35 , 36 , 37 ] Usually there is an inverse correlation between anxiety levels and test scores.
