Diagnostic ASD measures—sex and age effects On the ADOS, male ASD participants had significantly higher CSS Total ( x 2 (1) = 15.81, p = .0001, d = .46) and CSS Social Affect (SA) ( x 2 (1) = 12.71, p = .0004, d = .44) than females with ASD and was approaching significance for CSS Restricted and Repetitive Behaviours (RRB) (log-transformed, x 2 (1) = 3.15, p = .076, d = .22) (see Table 5 and Fig. 1 ).
