The evolution of the spatially-averaged R 0 standardized anomalies for Latin America and the Caribbean exhibits a clear trend between 1950 and 2015 (black curve in Figure 3D ), as reported by (Caminade et al., 2017 ), that is consistent with the persistent increase in temperatures observed in the region.
